The Pilat: contrasting, fragile nature

The meeting of the Mediterranean, continental and oceanic climates grants the Pilat exceptional natural wealth resulting from the proximity of highly contrasting environments: Opuntia ficus-indica blooms one step away from Alpine lady's mantle, Circaetus galicus fly over their beaver neighbours, etc. This proximity delights naturalists.

Beurre Island, the Arbuel Valley, Perdrix Peak, Gimel Peat Bog, Taillard Forest and so on. Nature is everywhere in its diversity, preserved and available for discovery (marked itineraries, panoramic viewpoints, etc.).
